At this level, athletes focus on learning skills grouped into one of the 6 fundamental movement patterns: landings, locomotions, stationary positions, rotations, springs and swings. Skills at this level are taught on a variety of competitive and non-competitive apparatuses. Athletes progress at their own pace depending on their abilities and goals. Badge 3: This is a 1 hour class which builds on the Fundamental Movement Patterns. Athletes begin to develop on the skills previously learned in Badge 1 and 2. At this level, skills are designed to be taught to co-ed groups, however, there are some boys only classes offered. Children must master 100% of the skills before moving to the next level.
